Press Release Summary: People with a high profile status have more chances of
becoming fraudsters prey

Press Release Body: Those professionals between the age 26-45 years who have a
handsome income and have a house of their own are the people at maximum risk for
falling prey to identity fraud, according to a very recent survey.

The credit information firm, Experian said that the directors of companies,
prosperous couples and families in thirties or forties and the young people living
in rented houses are highly at risk of falling prey to the frauds. People who are
earning more than £50,000 are at the risk three times more. Also, those company
directors who have more than 50 people working under them have a five and half times
more chance of falling prey to the ID frauds.

The people who live in rented accommodations have to share mailboxes and may have to
move frequently too. This gives an opportunity to the fraudulent people for using
their credit histories and abusing them.

This report was made by Experian, who after using the experiences of 10,000 victims
of ID frauds, claimed that the risk of being defrauded for the young professionals
who were renting was double the average.

Around 36% of the identity fraud was committed by using the most common method. This
was done by redirecting the mail of the victim to some other postal address from
where the mail can be easily collected. Also, some residential areas too were
identified where the people were more at risk of falling prey.

One such place which is much prone to the risk is a postcode enclave in College
Gardens in Tooting, South London. The risk here of being victim of such a fraud is
five times than the national average. Great Cambourne, Cambridgeshire landed fourth
on this list of places and Northampton suburb of Far Cotton came at number nine.

Helen Lord, director of fraud and compliance at Experian says, "The rates at which
these frauds are increasing are worrying. Even though some people are more at risk,
it is problem which can be faced by anyone. Everyone is a potential victim,
therefore utmost care is necessary."
